Mobile automotive service

A practical mobile inspection before you buy

Pre-purchase inspectionCharlotte Service Hub can inspect accessible vehicle condition, scan available systems, review visible maintenance and safety clues, and document limitations at a seller-approved location. An inspection reduces uncertainty but cannot guarantee future reliability.

Mobile service only. No customer-facing shop location. Service is available by appointment.

Answer-first service information

Is this the service you need?

Symptoms and reasons to request service

  • You are considering a used vehicle and want an independent condition review
  • The seller has provided limited maintenance or diagnostic information
  • A warning light, noise, leak, wear concern, or recent repair needs context
  • You need to know whether a shop-level inspection is warranted before purchase

What can be tested or handled on-site

  • Review visible exterior, interior, tires, accessible fluids, leaks, and basic maintenance clues
  • Scan supported systems and note readiness or warning information
  • Check selected electrical features and safe operating behavior
  • Complete a road test only with seller permission and when the vehicle is legal, insured, and safe

What may require a shop or specialist

  • A mobile inspection cannot see every concealed, intermittent, internal, or lift-dependent condition
  • Compression, leak-down, alignment, frame measurement, refrigerant recovery, and underbody access may require a shop
  • No inspection guarantees future condition, value, title status, or freedom from prior damage

Information to send before scheduling

  • Year, make, model, engine, mileage, listing link, and seller-provided VIN history if you choose
  • Known warning lights, disclosed defects, recent repairs, and your specific concerns
  • Seller contact and written permission for the inspection and scan
  • Location, available time, legal road-test status, and whether a lift inspection already exists
Scheduling

How does scheduling work?

Confirm seller permission and vehicle availability before booking. Charlotte Service Hub defines the inspection scope, access, expected duration, and price separately because this is not the standard complaint-based diagnostic visit.

Diagnostic scope

What does the diagnostic visit include?

The $100 diagnostic-visit price does not automatically apply to a pre-purchase inspection. Inspection scope, time, and price are confirmed before scheduling; repairs are not performed without separate approval.

Service questions

Questions about pre-purchase inspection

Is a mobile pre-purchase inspection the same as a shop inspection?

No. Mobile inspection is limited by ground-level access, seller permission, location, weather, and available equipment. A lift inspection can reveal additional underbody conditions.

Does an inspection guarantee the vehicle will be reliable?

No inspection can predict every future failure or reveal every concealed or intermittent problem. It provides observed information and clearly stated limitations at that time.

Do you need the seller’s permission?

Yes. The seller or authorized party must permit access, scanning, and any road test before the appointment.
